Carolyn Gail, at Sweet Home and Garden Chicago, originated Garden Blogger's Muse Day.
Here is a poem I wrote for this Muse Day. I hope I haven't pulled a George Harrison/My Sweet Lord thing:
October
The air is changing,
cooler, crisper, frosty whisper
the leaves are dancing
orange, mellow, scarlet, yellow
fading light and fading flowers
ever shorter daylight hours
dying down and turning black
nothing holds the winter back
morning fog burns away
sunset clouds stain golden days
find me in a mercurial mood
glorious skies and solitude
Or, there's always Van Morrison's "Moondance."
